Jennie Heesen - Chairperson.
Jennie has been in the occupational health and safety field for the last nine years. The last seven years has been spent in the horse racing industry and the last two years as a consultant for Prohas Consultants. Jennie has a wealth of experience in Occupational health and Safety
Siven Naidoo - Vice Chairperson
Siven's career in Health and Safety began in 1997 when he joined JT Ross & Son Construction. After 9 years with them he joined Stefanutti and Bressan, now Steffanutti Stocks Building KZN where he currently serves as their OHS Manager. Siven is the vice chairperson of the Master Builders KZN OHS committee where he has served as a committee member for the past 8 years. His dedication and passion for safety has earned him numerous awards in the construction sector, including the Safety Practitioner of the year award in 2008. He is also one of the seven founder members of Saiosh and is registered as ROSPrac with OHSAP.
Cathy Nirmal - Secretary.
Cathy currently serves as the SHEQ manager for Island View Storage (IVS) and has previously worked as SHE manager for Synthomer (Revertex Chemicals) for 4 years. Cathy is a Nursing Sister and Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner(OHNP) by initial trade and worked at companies such as Toyota SA Motors and Federal Mogul. Cathy has international training in Process Safety and HAZOP and has travelled to many international companies auditing their SHEQ systems. Cathy holds a Diploma in Nursing (Midwifery, Psychiatry, Community), an Occupational Health Degree, a National Diploma(Safety management) and is currently studying for her final year in Honours(BSc) Environmental management.
Suben Pillay- Recruitment
Suben currently works for the Msunduzi Municipality as Safety Officer. He has a degree in Safety management and has a wealth of knowledge regarding Occupational health and Safety legislation.
Jannike van der Merwe
Jannike is currently the Safety Officer and Talbot & Talbot Pty Ltd and has qualifications in SAMTRAC, Occupational Health and Safety.
